Explore Yin yoga and the chakras
A 2 hour workshop to experience the energetic body through a yin yoga practice.
☯ Have you heard about chakras but wanted to understand where they are and why they are important?
☯Have you been practicing yoga for some time in the physical body, but are ready to delve into the subtle, energetic body?
This workshop will help you to demystify these energy centres, understand how blockages can affect your emotions and help you to rebalance them.
Your teachers for this workshop are Unjay Markiewicz (Shala Om- Yoga in Semaphore) and Deanne Kong (Flex Yoga and Massage) who will take you on a journey through exploring yin yoga poses to focus on each of the 7 chakra points, as well as a mantra (chant), singing bowls representing the sound frequency of each chakra, and detailed explanation of what each chakra represents.
The session will also include an opening and closing chakra meditation and close with a yoga nidra and live music by Unjay. Enjoy a hot chai and conversation after our practice. ✨
Yin yoga is a slow, meditative yoga practice which involves holding postures for up to 5 minutes and is suitable for all levels. The meditation can take place seated or lying and all props are supplied for comfort. Get deeper into your practice by discovering another dimension of yin yoga in this workshop.
💫 Your investment for this 2 hour workshop to re-energize and balance your energetic body is $50 (early bird $45 before 1st July). Handouts supplied. Limited places available - book via The Yoga Centre Workshops link. ✨
